Sitterbug is the first in a series of scheduling tools created by computer engineer and father of three, Karim Metwalli. The idea for such a tool arose out of the difficulties and frustrations encountered by Justine, Karim's wife, in contacting their sitters, and scheduling and organizing babysitting for their children. Let's face it: who uses phones to get anything done these days? No one! Least of all the teens who more often than not are the ones we turn to for babysitting. Sitterbug brings babysitting up to speed with the rest of our wired lives. No more answering machines, no more wondering whether your sitter's teenage brother really gave her that urgent message you left.
